New Computer

Postby juan_donde » Thu Oct 22, 2009 3:21 pm

So, I am getting a new computer. Hopefully it will arrive soon. Funny story though: So, I order the computer and being the modest person that I am I decide to brag about it to the first person I see online. That person being Lucas. I'm telling him something along the lines of, "Ooooh i got an i7 and i also decided to get the 285 gtx. Blah blah blah etc." He says, " I bet you fucked up somewhere. I mean I am sure you didn't, but I bet you did." Let's see if you can figure out what I did wrong?

No, those are just 5 of the pieces that I ordered. Out of all 5 pieces only one of them shouldn't belong.

SOCKET FAIL.

Indeed. Good news is that it came in today. Almost finished setting it up. Just waiting for the vid card.

Yup, works great. Can't wait to get Modern Warfare 2 for it.

Watch, your computer will spontaneously combust. Speaking of things catching on fire, you're using Windows 7 instead of Vista right?

Yeah, about that...No I haven't gotten 7 yet. I am using the Windows Vista from my laptop since it is the 64 bit home premium which quite frankly works fine for now, but I will definitely be hopping on the Windows 7 train pretty soon.

As for it spontaneously combusting, there certainly is the possibility that for some odd reason I got the wrong power supply and my computer explodes, unlikely but still if it does there will be pics. On a side note Crysis supports the most retarded resolutions I have ever seen. I mean what kind of fucking game supports 1440x480 but not 1920x1080.

Update on my computer!

Shopping for a new sound card! Probably going to get this pci-e xfi. Which means that a certain x-fi elite pro is now up for grabs...
